Lord of The Rings Online – an excellent game

With a special license as Lord of the Rings, the producers could have created a clone of World of Warcraft with specific elements of Middle-Earth and say “ready”. But Turbine Entertainment have worked a lot and made the game more accessible and also enjoyable - see accessible game. The inventive aspect is only a part of the innovations that the game brings.

Fans of Lord of the Rings universe will not be forget, the game bringing only familiar names, familiar breeds and all these should entirely satisfy them. The people, the dwarfs, the hobbit, the elves are all represented and so you will have seven classes with which you can start the game. For MMO veterans these options are not enough, being accustomed to the many possibilities of EverQuest 2, which offers many more combinations. On the other hand there are much more gameplay modes to choose from. Classes for the handling of animals, fighter or a quite thief are played differently and all classes have a decisive role in the team.

Like the other narrative MMORPG games like Dungeon and Dragons Online or Asheron’s Call 2, Lord of the Rings Online comes with a story that unfolds during missions. Completing each missions rewards you with cinematic sequences of good quality, and in these moments you will see that the license is the one shining.

At the beginning of the game you will have the feeling that you have been through missions because there are quite common and have nothing too special, but once the story gets increasingly more complicated, you get more involve and you will see how appear unique qualities of the created world.

It helps greatly that Middle-Earth looks great and stands out from the other fantasy worlds created by other games. To see small hobbit holes or Elrond House for the first time if a great moment for the fans.

The game does not come with cutting edge graphics, the character model is quite weak worked. On the other hand the world created and the landscaped are breathtaking. Forests, rivers, buildings whose architecture amazes us every time, mountains, hills, all are created with impressive details. The game engine does its job very well and runs great even on weaker systems - discover game features.

The sound is even better, the soundtrack is adjusted excellent from one area to another. The voices are also excellent, although the characters in the game are not too talkative.

All these new added elements to nothing than to improve the game’s main assed: the fun that it provides. And I for one can’t make this statement too often when I talking about a MMORPG. It is also incredibly stable, so you will never get stuck. With a familiar realm, but with a few updates, the game can only be an excellent choice to spend a few hours in front of the computer.
